Beer for lunch today... Who needs food when you got beer, right?

Add to the list of vegan beers:

ANY GERMAN BEER BREWED IN GERMANY (by law since 1516:) )

And most of these are also pretty nice, I am personally partial to beers from Southern Germany, especially White Beers ...

So ... look out for (among many others):
    - Erdinger
    - Franziskaner
    - Weihenstephan

I think I've said this before, but I don't mind saying it again. The main thing is filtering using Isinglass, which is dried up fish bladders. It's an archaic technique that is rarely used anymore. Most breweries that still do this are in the UK. The best way to drink clean is to drink local, drink beer being produced by non-corporate breweries. In the US at least, craft beer is generally not filtered at all, and the use of any adjuncts is clearly stated (because that's part of the fun).

Yes, that was exactly what it was like.

I tried another beer from Bellfield Brewery the other day - Bohemian Pilsner. I liked this beer a lot! :)

There is a vegan beer festival that I might go to in the next month.

My trip to Meijer was nearly fruitless for me... no Teta, no Flatout Foldit... had to buy pasta sauce for Jer....

But there was a "tasting" in the beer aisle.... :) I put back my Founders & got this instead (lower ABV!).... So refreshing on a day like today!

[IMG] <---- Only 4.5 ABV, so great for mucho summertime swillin'!

Not my pic, obviously. I took one with my phone earlier, uploaded it (nice one, pint glass) but I don't know where the hell they go after I upload to PC. I usually upload from my digital cam with no problem, but I don't take it to Jer's anymore....

4.5? Yeah, I can imagine killing a 12pk of those by myself in a day lol... Funny I have met the head brewer of Golden Road, but have never actually had their beer lol.

    Yesindoody!

Oh, I only bought a sixer tonight... plan on getting more tomorrow... wherever that may be. LMAO

But they also come in 15-packs, tallish boys, & cardboard-boxed 6-packs, just like the Founders... ;) This might be like hoppy-citrus-soda for you... but awesome for lightweights! :p

I'm just trying to wrap my head around the fact that I've tried a beer you haven't!! :weird:

Lol, I'm not sure we get distribution here, and their beer isn't revered enough to show up at a bottle share (while I do like to brag, I don't really care much about "revered" anymore)

Wolf Pup Session IPA -- (Not listed on Barnivore, think it's fairly new in stores, but all other Golden Road beers on Barnivore are vegan.)

And here's this: BeerMenus - Find Great Beer <---- Just found that! Definitely comin' back to it....

No brand loyalties whatsoever... Since I started keeping track a few years ago I've had more than 1,500 unique beers, from nearly as many breweries (brands).
