Was looking for a very particular version of Lou Rawls singing St. James Infirmary, couldn't find it, stumbled upon this instead.... Hell, yeah.

Playin' right now....

OMG, and the idiot public radio host followed that up with some horrendously "loungy" cheese-ball crapola with some tone-deaf b*tch singin'.... holy crap, I'm cringing so much I'm goin' outside.... every third freaking note she sings is flat....

I've got an excellent musical ear and what is known as "relative pitch"... that sh*t makes my face wince & my spine crawl. **shudder** LMAO

Just trying to make a mental list here.... I have collected work from certain favorite artists, most on CD, not on my phone... need to search for them.

Collections of:
  • Robert Johnson
  • [ ... ]
  • Eric Clapton
---- This is a running list for me to refer to so I can search for my missing music... in boxes, bags, the back room, the garage, etc....
Just for your information, Clapton put out an album in 2004 of 14 songs all written by Robert Johnson.

See: Me and Mr. Johnson - Wikipedia

I know. I bought it for my ex and I have it on my phone. Also bought the Robert Johnson Collection for him. I also printed up the guitar tabs for every Robert Johnson song for him. And I used to sing my own versions of "32-20" and "Come On In My Kitchen" with him....

I'm not sure if you know that I know quite a lot about this sh*t... for a mid-western white chick. Trust me, I know my stuff. I'm not here to go on about my gigging days or talk about all the amazing stories I've heard or the astounding musicians I've known and jammed with.... not about that.

But I'm-a letcha know right now, I don't need schoolin' on any of this.

If you have any questions, however, or would like suggestions, please do not hesitate to ask.... LOL :p

What a cool birthday for your nephew!! :jump: You are one magnificent aunt!
Hahaha, thank you. He is my godson as well, so he gets a little special treatment from his aunt. ;-) And it was a big birthday, and I wanted to go, too, so I knew he'd be into it. I will never forget the look of complete awe he held for almost the entire show, watching Clapton's magic hands. I actually spent more than I would have for these tickets (my first concert ticket purchase on eBay!), but they were third row from the stage, and they were worth every cent!
