US In Honor of-International Respect for Chickens Day

Star Member
Today it is once again International Respect for Chickens Day. To honor this event I would like to submit a few interesting facts about this beautiful and noble bird.

Did you know hens talk to their babies in their eggs before hatching; chicks peep back.

Chickens can recognize more than a hundred human or chicken faces.

They can see a broader range of color than humans

These intelligent birds can use more than 24 vocalizations to convey specify information

And to me this is really amazing that chickens have a sense of time duration and prediction of human rewards.

The above facts taken from The Animal Place.

So on this their special day let’s help dispel the many myths we about these wonderful creatures and no longer refer to them as dumb and stupid birds which certainly the above facts prove they are not.
